Both Commercial Industries And Consumers Should Be Responsible Of The Healthy Production

I believe both the commercial industry and consumers should be more mindful of what is in the products they are buying. My grandmother used always to tell me, as a child, that what is good for geese doesn’t necessarily make it good for gander. It doesn’t necessarily mean that a food product is safe for consumption.

Food industries should remember that consumers trust their food companies when they promote their products. Food companies know that consumers will retain every word in the advertisement or commercial for their product. Mentos’ slogan, “The Breath Maker” is the most obvious example. Mentos is supposed for fresh breath. That’s why I bought it. This is why food companies need to be held accountable for any alteration to their products to protect America’s health. I learned about how public officials became more concerned about tobacco companies and the effects they had on consumers when they began to disclose the truth to them. They made people more aware of the options and realities of smoking. As with the attacks on tobacco, it was important to emphasize that both commercial and consumer sectors need to be open and honest. Mentos’ maker should have revealed that their wonderful breath freshener contains a lot sugar. Because of this, they are almost addictive. We have control over what goes into our bodies. Food companies can’t change this. Without our proper research, commercial industries must alter product claims in order to maintain our health. Consumers should understand that the commercial industries are involved in maintaining the health of the community and adding high amounts of corn fructose into our food.
